Robinson

Master Sergeant Phillip D. Robinson is a native of Langley, South Carolina. He attended Midland Valley High School and upon graduating, entered into the United States Army in 1988 as a Tactical Telecommunication Center Operator. 

Master Sergeant Robinson has held various leadership positions throughout his career in the Army from team leader, squad leader, platoon sergeant, and First Sergeant. He also has held special duty positions such as a Detailed Recruiter, Drill Sergeant and Military Instructor. 

Master Sergeant Robinson has attended several military schools such as the Airborne School, Air Assault School, Ranger Indoctrination Program (RIP), Drill Sergeant School, Recruiting School, Instructor Trainers Course, Primary Leadership Development course, Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officers course, and the First Sergeant Course. Master Sergeant Robinson holds a Masters degree in Business from Columbia Southern University. 

Master Sergeant Robinson’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service medal, Joint Service Commendation medal, Army Commendation medal, Joint Service Achievement medal, Army achievement medal, Good conduct medal, the German Shuseneer badge (silver), the Recruiting badge (gold), the Drill Sergeant badge, Parachutist badge, and the Air Assault badge. 

Master Sergeant Robinson has been married to the former Vanessa Tyler since 1989 and they have two sons Phillip Jr. and Devin.
